Her name was unheard of. She was an outcast, an underdog despite dashing beauty and an elegance unmatchable by the most youthful of mares. She was a young fae, and had caught the eye of many stallions. Until the day. Now, she was just Aumeq.
The silver 'ess wandered around nowhere, aimlessly pondering in her thoughts until she found herself at the base of a tree, a large maple with silver leaves that all the creatures new as the Panaca tree. It was large, and the moonlight caught just right in its shadow, beautiful and graceful. Aumeq had once been as shimmering and pretty as this tree, but not anymore. Some found the apocalypse and the Lord's gratefulness to equines merciful. She found it a living hell.
She had a perfect life, and then her human was killed in the third World War, the one that killed all life itself. She had in her grief committed suicide, and then crossed the brink, oh the damn brink. Now, she was in limbo between life and death, a mere shadow of who she once was. And sadly, spirits cannot die. She had never fallen in love again, for only the believers and the innocent, seeking love, could see her truely. Life was complicated, and Aumeq hated it.

moments more before the fae arrived, the color of painted waters. Tossing her head to match the beating of her now racing heart, the 'ess blinked strangely at this creature. She was youthful, was she not? Yet for some reason, her graceful movements and tensed nape showed she was still some years in to her life. When she parted her lips to speak, the silver fae knew. This young warrioress was of the same years as her, near seven if she knew right.
"My, my, it's been years since I've spoken to another horse, so beautiful, so smooth." Aumeq stood her distance, but stretched her maw forward to view this lovely lassie. She was such a beautiful shade of silver and grays and duns that Aumeq didn't even know how to describe it, yet a grace daunted her body despite elderly years. "I am Aumeq, and I am a loner."
The sweet old mare stepped closer in one fluid motion, and soon had stopped at the shoulder of the newcomer. What was her name? She didn't want to push for answers from a stranger, but it was daunting and she desired to know who this lovely fae was. However, Aumeq's mind worked different than most and she often hallucinated or mistook seven years for old age, when it was usually the prime of a horse's life. "My, my." The strange words emitted from her mouth again, her mind spiraling.

A rough snort vibrated her delicate nostrils, dust particles from grazing spewed from her muzzle. Sepia pupils studied the creature carefully, taking in every structure. Well well, hello there, Aumeq. Her tongue rolled over the female's name, watching her intently. Her banner ceased it's movement, and she only concentrated closely. Her moon-lit colour was mesmerizing. Pyr's gaze slid to the sky, watching the sun's rays give warmth to other species near by.
An eyebrow was raised. A loner? Surprising. I've never met one before, except for me. Smooth lyri slid from her parted lips. I'm Pyralis, but you can call me whatever you wish. Voice soft, but a hint of curiosity was swirled in. Irises scanned over her sterling bodice, shuddering. Pyra hadn't seen a horse in about maybe, over a two years. Her worn and scarred body carrying her where her eyes desired, and right now, Aumeq was it.

Aumeq kept her eyes locked in the graceful, dancing body of the other horse, yet knew better than it. The old (or so she had always felt she was old, even for only seven) mare had always believed that love was for mare and stallion, the gods had said so themselves. Could she allow this strange being to seduce her? No, no, the longing in her voice definitely meant something. My, my, what does she want? The wonder kept her off her toes, though she should have thought better.
"What a beautiful name, Pyralis." The fae scanned the other warrioress's body, and soon came up to her eyes and could not help from darting back. There was a hunger in them, not carnivorous and cannibalistic but a lust of some sort. What could this strange character want with her? The illusion the fae had spun was wearing out, and Aumeq took advantage of it to assess the situation in a panic. "What do you want with me?"
Every second that inched by while she waited grimly and solemnly for a response of some sort, a reply, was laced with pain and fret. What did this strange angel want with her? Did the gods send her from hell itself to challenge her, test her? Or was she some young sass looking for entertainment with an old virgin like herself? Aumeq's eyes paled and she grimaced, stepping backwards to find herself pressed against the Panaca tree she had come to visit.

After her short outburst, Aumeq felt embarrassed. So the mare hadn't been lustful, she had just been interested. Nothing could hide the blushing in the pale gray fae's face. She stepped forward again. "No, no, it is just me and my silly old ramblings. I do not mean to offend you."
Aumeq decided to dig a bit into this pretty young ess's history. "So, what brings you around these parts?" She swished her tail warily, but not as fearfully as she had been moments before. The arabian mare was more curious now than she was worried. "Not many survive as a loner around these parts. They're dangerous places, you know? Many stags come around here to find slaves and worse, if you know what I mean."
The frail mare waited patiently for a reply, though she knew that she must not be making much sense anymore. She felt a bit like a stumbling, raggedy fool of sorts, but there was nothing wrong with friendly chatter, was there?
ooc; sorry i took so long to reply xD

OOC; you should be. D<
A large sigh was expelled, relieved that the mare would not make her leave like the others. Aumeq's words registered slowly, Pyralis twitched. W-where..I came from? Pyra was utterly confused now. No one cared about her, she was just an object. An awkward silence fell over the two, and finally the female decided to speak. Well, I was born quite a while away. It would take years and years to get there now. Well, I guess that's how long I've been traveling, A shiver ran up the equine's spine, and she paused for a moment. I'm just another traveler. Pyr finished up, her soft lyri now harder, and her eyes strained.
Oh, I know. But I don't mind strangers. The konik stated blankly, watching the Panaca tree quietly. Her breathing quickened and her nostrils flared. Her past was gone and done, and she didn't want to relive it by talking about it. Lids slid closed, optics trying to shed salty liquid. Her barrel expanded and collapsed, and her bright hazel irises met Aumeq's. Pyra studied the femme's facial features for a moment, then turned her nape away.
So, Aumeq. What brings you here. The grulla's voice still hard, not quite melted yet. She calmed a bit by watching a couple of squirrels argue over a walnut. Pyralis turned back to the silvery fea, stepping a bit closer. Her whiskers brushing against Aumeq's maw, the first contact she'd had to an equine since, years. Stallions didn't bother her, as long as she hid in the woods. But I guess that would be called hiding. Warm carbon dioxide brushed against the other equus, a small smile forming on Pyr's expressions.

ooc ; you deserve BANISHMENT :OOO lawl Aumeq sullenly glanced away at the final words of the other mare. The silver arabian didn't know where to start. "I don't want to bore you with a long story, so I'll try to make it brief, I guess." She stuttered, lifting her head high and clearing her throat.
"I was born in a land far from here- now one of legends. It was earth, when humans existed and all. I was owned by a wonderful lady, and I was a pureblood show equine. To make it short, I was famous. But it didn't last long." She took a small, short breath, and stifled back tears.
"My owner was killed when our city was raided, and I was forced to flee. I was on the run when I met a band of stallions. They all had handsome, flowing manes and short, sleek coats. It struck me- they were show horses, just like I had been. I grew to trust the folk, and soon traveled with them as a friend. They never talked much, but we got along. It all started when one of them, a frisky black colt much like the Rivolta leader- what's his name, Exile?- he abused me. He took away from me so much." At this part, she shuddered and lowered her head.
"Broken, I ran from them, heavy with foal, and then the barrier crossing came. I was called, and I came. I broke the veil between life and death, as we all have. Now, I am in this world. In the shock of it all, the unborn foal died. It- it never lived to see the world. Now, I'm a simple loner who mistakes the prime of her life for a frail and elderly phase."
She finally finished up, knowing it was longer than she had planned.

Pyralis shuffled her flints, speechless. A-aumeq, I'm really sorry. She whispered, muzzle barely touching the equine's hark. The essa moved her scarred bodice sideways, anatomy touching Aumeq's-barely. Onyx tresses lifted in the cooling zephyrs, the sun beginning to set. Yes- it was almost time. Darkness to come. A lone dagger lifted from the lush sod then fell back, ridding insects from her hide.
I know you'd make a good mother. She stated in a raspy voice, bumping her maw against the cloud stained mare's stomach. Pyr bit her lip, not quite sure what to say. Being alone for quite a while, she didn't have a way with words. If she was lucky, the femme could make someone stop crying. But that was not usually the case. Salmon ribbon licked away Aumeq's dry tears, cranium gently nuzzling against her nape.
Navy began to consume the heavens, and the stars studded the newly painted sky. Pyra shivered, lifting her plumage. Banner swished high slowly, catching some cold gusts and bringing them closer to her. She loved the cold, and was starting to heat up.

Aumeq listened to Pyralis's words but did not reply, at least not right away. As the evening dawned, the silver leaves of the Panaca Tree started to glow the color of quicksilver. She sighed and drew in the cool breeze, breathing deeply and stifling a sob of grief to her fading echoes of words.
"It is fine, Pyralis, but thank you." She spoke sadly and shaken with grief, remembering the miscarriage for every detail it had been. "My dear Pyralis, what is your story, if you wouldn't mind sharing it?" Whispered the pretty gray mare, lifting her muzzle and cocking her head with curiosity. "You spoke about being a traveler from an unknown place, but there must be more."
Aumeq shivered as another cool breeze of air engulfed her, and she twitched as the cold enveloped her frail, plump body. Spring had been good to her, yet she did not have the heart to tell the other mare that the miscarriage had occurred early that same season, not even a month before the two had met. "We live in a strange world, we do. Tell me about yours, if you will." The arab softened her voice and watchfully guarded the sweet grass she was nibbling on as she waited for a sullen reply from her counterpart.
